1. Warm up: - Introduce new lesson. 2. New lesson: Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat. - Have ss look at the picture and identify the characters - Introduce the dialogue. - Play the recording for the ss to listen. - Elicit the new words. - Play again, have ss listen and repeat. - Have ss read the dialogue. - Have ss practice in pairs. - Call some pairs to read aloud. Activity 2: Point and say. - Have ss look at the picture and identify the festival. - Present some new words: Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day, New Year, Christmas - Present new structure. When is…? – It’s on…. - Have Ss work in pairs to practice. - Do picture a as a model. - Call some pairs to read in front of the class. 3. Home – link. - Practice asking and answering questions about when a festival is.
