I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to greet and respond to greetings formally.
II. Language focus:
- Vocabulary: morning, afternoon, evening
- Sentence patterns:
- Good morning/ Good afternoon/ Good evening.
- Nice to see you again.
IV. Procedure:
- Warm up: (5 minutes)
- Say “Hello” to the class and introduce yourself. Go around the class and greet to some Ps and ask them some questions like “How are you?”, “What’s your name?”, etc.

2. POINT AND SAY (15 minutes) | - Have Ps look at the pictures on page 6 - Elicit the characters in the pictures and guess what are they talking about. Ask Ps to guess and complete the speech bubbles - T models the parts of characters in picture a to Ps - Ask Ps to act out the dialogue - Ask Ps to practise the dialogue in pairs - Monitor the activity and offer help. Correct pronunciation mistakes when necessary - Call on some pairs to perform the task in front of the class.
